Group Pledges Support For Good Governance

Total Support Organisation (TSO) a socio-political group in Rivers State, has vowed to mobilise against all forms of bad governance in the society.

Secretary of the organisation, Comrade Micheal Cookey disclosed this in Port Harcourt recently while speaking with newsmen.

He said the group was committed to good governance in Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole, and stated that the time has come for the people to be prime participants in the process of governance.

The body described the development stride of Governor Chibuike Amaechi in Rivers State as unprecedented, especially in terms of infrastructure and manpower.

It thus urged the state Governor to remain undaunted in his effort at development of the state, and appealed to the governor to improve in the area of youths employment and capacity building,.

The group expressed dismay over anti labour practices by some companies in Rivers State and called on the government to overhaul and critically examine such sharp practices that short change Rivers people.

Ahead of the 2011 general election, the group said Nigerians should exercise their franchise and resist the antics of money politics which impoverish them.

They also congratulated the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, over his recent elevation as Nigeria President.
