Disturbed by poor choice in selection of academic careers by some students, Founder of Consultant Education House Limited, Mr. Dick Tamunoemi Amos has called on government to establish academic advisory centres across the country.

Mr. Amos made the recommendation in a chat with newsmen at a business and career summit held in Port Harcourt over the weekend.

The consultant lamented that a lot of young people have chosen wrong careers a development which he says stifles their talents and creativity in life.

But by establishing academic advisory centres, he submitted, a lot of youths would be properly guided to follow the right path capable of leading them to self fulfillment.

He called for the reintroduction of guidance and counseling units in public schools saying that the declining standard of education in the country was equally responsible for the swelling rate of students going to neighbouring countries like Ghana to study.

The proprietor of Consultant Education House therefore challenged the government to stabilise the education system by the implementation of good educational policies, and improving on infrastructure, research and train lecturers in modern teaching methods.

Currently he disclosed that his institute is liaising with the state government in the training of nurses in Ghana in order to boost health manpower.
