The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered over N15billion, through the tax evasion initiative of the commission.

Making this known at a public presentation of a book in Abuja, the chairman of the commission, Mrs Farida Waziri said that the agency’s technology had been upgraded to check the activities of cyber criminals.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion and the Director-General of Nigerian Law School in Abuja, Dr Titus Mamman advised youths not to celebrate corruption in their quest to make life meaningful, and called on the judiciary to facilitate the trial of suspects brought by the EFCC.

Earlier, in his speech, the author of the book titled “ Anti Corruption Handbook for Nigerian youth”, Teddy Jorda said he was motivated to write a book on corruption to further strengthen the war on corruption in Nigeria.

The tax investigation initiative of the EFCC was set up by the anti-graft agency to check the tax invasion by organisations.
