Eagles Take Collective Responsibility For Echiejile’s Error

Joseph Yobo says the whole team must take collective responsibility for the error which led to the North Korean goal in Sunday’s 3-1 at the Makhulong Stadium.

Left back Elderson Echiejile, a second half substitute, gifted the Koreans a pass right across the goal, with his centreback caught square, but Yobo says no blame will be passed, “These things happen in football and we all take responsibility as a team.

“Hopefully, it will not happen again. That is why we play friendlies so we can learn from our mistakes,” he said.

Yobo admitted that the game was a good test.

“They play a similar way to South Korea so it was a good experience.”
