Baro-Efebo Leads Amalgamated All Stars FC
The Amalgamated All Stars Football Club of Port Harcourt has elected Eratus Baro-Efebo to run the affairs of the club as chairman for the next two years.
Others elected are Ini Michael, vice chairman, Dawari-Kalio Tam, secretary and Daniel Williams as treasurer of the club.
The election of the new executive for the period 2010-2012 took place at the Government Approved School Premises, Borikiri, Port Harcourt last weekend.
In his speech, the new chairman of the club, Barrister Eratus Baro-Efebo on behalf of his colleagues thanked members for the confidence reposed in them and promised to render selfless service to ensure that the club achieved its lofty dreams.
Barristers Baro-Efebo promised to carry everybody along in the running of the club and solicited for co-operation and support of members.
He, however, stressed the importance of recreational football, pointing out its benefits.
Earlier, the ex-chairman of the club, Mr. Joe Cole congratulated the new executive and thanked members for their support during his tenure. He urged them to extend same support to the new management so that the club would move to the next level.
Meanwhile, as a means to usher in the new exco, there will be an inaugural match between Amalgamated All-Stars and Crystal All Stars all of Port Harcourt this weekend.
