Anambra Pillars FC Pledges Support For Owumi

Osita Unachukwu, Secretary, Anambra Pillars FC of Onitsha, has pledged the club’s support for the administration of the new Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Chairman, Davidson Owumi.

Unachukwu said recently in Onitsha that the club was supporting him because “he has the driving force to propel the Nigerian league to international standards”.

He told newsmen that “Owumi has the experience of the game and its administration and can tackle the challenges of Nigerian league development’’.

Unachukwu urged him to ensure that he brought all the major stakeholders in soccer in the country together for the development of football.

“Owumi started his football career from grassroots clubs to the top.

“I know, he can do it and lift the league from its present state. I wish him the best and Anambra Pillars will continue to support him’’.

The secretary also advised those petitioning against Owumi’s election to drop them in the interest of peace, oneness and development of football in the country, especially at the grassroots.
