Sylva Lists Achievements

Gov. Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa says inspite of the financial challenges of the state, his administration has impacted positively on all communities.

Sylva stated this in an address at the Democracy Day celebration which held at the Isaac Boro Peace Park in Yenagoa on Saturday.

“ We can say without any fear of contradiction that our programmes and policies have literally impacted on every community in the state.

“Even if I am the one saying so, it is safe to conclude that we have done well as an administration.

“No government since the creation of the state has faced the kind of financial challenges which we are dealing with,” he said.

He blamed the challenges on the global economic melt down and the dwindling oil production occasioned by militant activities.

Sylva, however, said his administration achieved remarkable successes in the education, agriculture and health sectors.
