Rivers Angels Target Double Title Celebration

The Rivers State female football team, Rivers Angels’ FC is determined to win the league and FA cup titles this soccer season after the disappointment of last season.

Coach of the club, Whyte Ogbondah disclosed the desire during an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt early in the week.

According to him, hard work and determination have been responsible for the club’s impressive performances so far this season and they are determined to end it on a high.

Rivers Angels defeated Tokas FC 4-1 in their last away match in Lagos to increase their points  haul to 38.

Currently, the Angels are occupying the drivers seat on the league table and followed by Delta Queens with 35 points while Sunshine Queens are third with 27 points.

Meanwhile, the final date for the final game is yet to be fixed.

According to coach Ogbondah, the dream of the team is to win the double this season, after missing them to Delta Queens last season, “the team is now determined to win both trophies this season”, he said.

He continued that with the performance of the team (Rivers Angels) this season, the Angels would meet their target.

He, however, urged the players of the Rivers Angels to maintain the tempo in order to achieve their set goal.
