ONELGA All Stars Get Commendation Over Objectives

All Stars Football Club of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State has been commended for their efforts toward the upliftment of soccer in the area.

The commendation was made by Dr Chris Nwaudo, during the formal launching of the football club recently in Omoku.

Dr Nwaudo, who was the chairman of the launching ceremony lauded the efforts of the club members and promised to identify with the aspirations of the club and youth development in the area.

Earlier in their welcome address the club secretary, Comrade Obi S. Adah highlighted the aims and objectives of the club and the essence of the launching, which he said was to mobilise resources for the development of sporting facilities in the area.

He called on well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies and captains of industry to support the club in its bid to provide a better base for youth in sports development, especially, football in order to check the ugly incidence of youths’ restiveness.
