Antagonism, Not Our Style – Abia NLC

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abia, Mr Lucky Akabuike, has anchored the dividends of labour in the state to the adoption of the principle of non-antagonism.

Speaking with newsmen in Umuahia on Monday, Akabuike said: “My administration adopted the principle as a strategy for disarming any bureaucratic weapon of government.

“I can today hold my head high and boldly say that there is no task that defied this leadership approach.”

He emphasised that the state chapter of the NLC had not lost any battle with the government.

He said critics who adjudged the style as a sign of weakness did so because they believed that the only acceptable language to the government is “militancy and strike”.
