Adamawa Holds State Sports Fiesta, Saturday
Athletes from all the 21 Local Government Councils in Adamawa will assemble in Yola on Saturday to begin the 4th State Sports Festival, according to a sports council statement.
The statement issued recently by the sports council’s spokesman, Muhammed Paris, urged the local government chairman and administrators to sponsor their athletes to the festival.
Tidesports source quotes Paris as saying that winners in the various events would receive prizes.
Apart from the prizes, the athletes would also have the opportunity of representing Adamawa at the 17th National Sports Festival in November.
