Total’s ED Gets Mining Society Award

The Executive Director, External Affairs, of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria, Mr. John Addeh has been awarded a fellowship of the Nigerian Mining and GeoSciences Society (NMGS).

The award ceremony which took place at the just concluded 46th International Annual Conference in Calabar, was conferred by NMGS’ President, Professor Anthony Azubuike Elueze.

A 1978 graduate of Geology from the University of Benin, Mr. Addeh has acquired various professional education in divers areas.

Such areas include: Geology/Geophysics structural Interpretation; Petroleum Risk and Decision Analysis, Geology Operations and Sedimentary Basin Study.

He has also acquired education in Seismic Sequence Stratigaphy, in addition to management trainings in such areas as Management Development, Strategic Public Relations, and Crisis Management Communications.

He is currently in- charge of the creation, projection and management of Public Affairs, Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development Philosophy, Policies, Practices and Standard of Total’s Upstream Companies in Nigeria, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, and in line with the policies image and reputation of the Total Group.

Other awardees were Mr. Philip Onwuzurumba Chukwu, the Group Executive Director, Exploration and Production of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC); and Mr. Billy Godwin Agha, the Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

Also awarded was Dr. Chris Iheanyichukwu Adighije, a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and Hon. Ifaluyi Isibor, House of Representatives Sub-Committee Chairman on the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
