As Christians worldwide mark this year’s Good Friday and Easter, symbolizing the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi has urged Christians to emulate the good virtues of Christ for which he died  for the redemption of mankind.

Mrs Amaechi stated this Thursday in a goodwill message signed by her Media Assistant, Dike Bekwele to commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Governor’s wife stated that Easter season is a reflection of Christ’s selflessness  to mankind, adding that the state and the nation at large will experience peace if these virtues of Christ being celebrated worldwide become daily practice and ethics of Christians.

The Rivers First Lady  continued that some Christians are ignorant of  the

celebration and fail to reflect on the import and significance of the season.

She stated that death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolised the restoration of peace and love to mankind and urged Christians to show love among themselves irrespective of ethnic or religious inclination.

Mrs Amaechi congratulated Christians, saying that the state and nation will witness God’s favour among the comity of blessed nations this Easter Season.
