Simply named Paul Okon Nkanu, a middle aged man said to have hailed from Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, recently paid money to a commercial sex worker along Flour Mills junction to have his sexual desire satisfied, but rather than derive satisfaction, he died atop the lady. Flour Mills junction was a beehive of activities over the incidental death of the fun lover in a brothel located opposite it. When the news came up that a man has died atop of a woman, both security operatives and passers-by stopped over to hear the story. Sources at the scene said the deceased has been deposited at the University of Calabar Teaching hospital mortuary pending when his family will prepare for his burial. Reports say he had gone into one of the rooms with his lover, but all of a sudden, the lover girl shouted for help from neighbours when she noticed that her “regular” customer was breathless when he was supposed to be “performing.” Neighbours, according to reports, were attracted to the room of late Nkanu”s lover only to meet him lifeless atop his lover’s mattress. Doctors at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) confirmed him dead when he was rushed to the hospital. A source further told The Tide On Sunday on condition of anonymity that the said Nkanu had been a regular visitor to the brothel and wondered why the sudden death. A police source confirmed the story and said the police would soon commence investigation into the cause of his death. The Tide On Sunday reports that the development has caused panic at the Flour Mills junction with heavy police presence to ward off breakdown of law and order. Some family members of the deceased were reported to have invaded the brothel to demand explanations why their relative died in such a “miserable” manner. The deceased was also said to be married with children.
