2011: Three Bauchi Commissioners Resign

Three Commissioners in Bauchi State have resigned their appointments ahead of the 2011 general elections.
They are, Alhaji Yusuf Gumli, Commissioner for Education; Alhaji Yakubu Abdullahi, Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation and Co-operatives and Alhaji Saleh Hassan, Commissioner for Rural Development.
The Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Tasiu Mohammed, told newsmen in Bauchi on Thursday that the council was informed of the resignations on Wednesday.
“The Chairman-in-Council thanked the commissioners and on behalf of the council wished them well in politics”, Tasiu said.
The newsmen reports that the state government had directed all political aspirants in public office to resign their appointments before April 1.
