WardsTo Clash In Amadi Cup Finals

Arrangement has been concluded for the grand finale of the 2009 edition of Prince Destiny Amadi unity/talent hunt football cup competition among  wands in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State billed for Easter Sunday at the State Primary School field Eberi, Omuma LGA.According to the organiser of the competition, Mr. Tony Onyema (a.k.a Adesman, the final game would be between ward 5 and ward 6.

Onyema disclosed that prominent personalities including Hon. Chinda Evans Ogbuyi, Rivers State co-ordinator (PCSN), Mr. Chibuzor Ugwuoha, NDDC MD, Mrs. Esther Anucha, Rivers State Head of service, Hon. Emma Okatta, member RSHA, Hon. John Anucha, Omuma Council Boss, Mr. Friday Ani, Production Superintendent SPDC Imo Rivers FLB and HRH Eze Sir Monday Ojiegbe (JP), Acting Chairman Omuma Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs and expected to grace the occasion.

Meanwhile, the cup donor, Prince Comrade Destiny Amadi, who is also the state Director planning and research Rivers Youth Movement (RYM) will be there to present the trophy to the eventual winner of the competition alongside other consolations prizes.

He, however, enjoined lovers of grassroots football to avail themselves of the opportunity to come out in large numbers to witness the final match which promises to be exciting given the quality of young players that will be on parade.
