RSG Warns Civil Servants Against Indiscipline
The Rivers State Government has said that there will be no room for indolence and indiscipline among civil servants in the state.
The Head of Service, Mrs Esther Anucha gave this warning while declaring open a two- week compulsory refresher course for administrative officers in the State.
Mrs. Anucha whose address was read on her behalf by the Permanent Secretary, Establishment, Training and Pension Bureau, Mr. Chime Ake said that the course was intended to enhance their job performance in their respective offices.
She stressed the need for dedication among the participants, noting that they would be made to take courses in Administrative Law, Public Service Rules, Financial Instructions and Local Government.
Speaking, Mr Chime Ake said that the government would continue to give priority attention to training and retraining of civil servants to promote efficiency and increased productivity in the service. Participants at the course were drawn from the main service and parastatals in the state.
