Rivers LGAs Share N5bn

About N5,749,905,403.3 billion has been shared among the 23 local government areas of Rivers State as net allocations for the month of February, 2010.

This was contained in a statement made available to The Tide by the Ministry of Local Government , Chieftaincy and  Community Affairs.

According to the statement, Abua/Odual local government area received the sum of N256,466,189.98, Ahoada East, N201,416,235.58, while Ahoada West got N242, 110, 095.36 as allocations.

It also said that Akuku Toru Local Government Area received the sum of N217,889,774.3, Andoni, N232, 646,639.87, Asari-Toru, N219,980,539.16, while Bonny local Government Area got the sum of N224,518,960.13.

The rest are: Degema, N243,715,629.09, Eleme, N225,847,343.61, Emohua, N219,254,207.6, Etche, N248,541,414.09, Gokana, N232,842,782.07, Ikwerre, N216,,742,471.00, while Khana got N266,780,913,27.

The statement which was signed by the commissioner in charged of the ministry, Dr T.W Dunagogo also said that Obio/Akpor Local Government Area received the sum of N315, 834,373.81, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, N263,806,893.64, Ogu/Bolo, N171,698,583.21, Okirika, N232, 961,708.93, Omuma, N183,452,235.11, Opobo/Nkoro, N199,719,945.34, Oyigbo, N185,546,919.18, Port Harcourt City, N349,438,737.82 and Tai Local Government Area, N202,358,868.42.

The statement further said that the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission got N15,822,897.93, Rivers State Local Government Pension Board, N92,956,171.22 while the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers received, N287,554,096.57.
