The Acting Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University of Education (RSUOE) Prof. Rosemund Green-Osahogulu have been declared to be backed by Engenni Committee of Friends following what they described as hard work and commitment.

The group who was led by Chief Sunny Dressman in a courtesy call to the  RSUOE, Ag. VC last week, noted that Prof. Green-Osahagulu’s appointment was well deserved due to her steadfastness, integrity, scholarship and resourcefulness.

They explained as rigours the process of upgrading a college to university saying that their friend has all it takes to pilot the affairs of the institution.

“We know that you are able to churn out qualified teaching personnel in various fields of human endeavour to assist in the development of quality manpower needed for the advancement of the state and nation” they said.

In her response, she narrated her experiences as a lecturer in the former COE, saying that it was too demanding that she nearly threw in the towel.

According to her, the more devastating issue was when she was sometime in 2003 denied the honour of a full-fledged professor.

She pointed out that she was particularly grateful to God and Governor Amaechi who saw to her recognition and elevation, adding that she would grip her boot by the straps and execute job on ground.

Earlier, she has lauded the Engenni Committee of Friends for remembering her saying that she will carryout her task dutifully and as well bring honour and pride to the Rivers women.
