Chime’s Wife Harps On Public Property Protection

The wife of Enugu State governor, Mrs Clara Chime, has called on residents to protect government property in their communities.

 Speaking while flagging off the third phase of the Enugu State Drug Revolving Fund (DRF), recently Mrs Chime  project sponsored by DFID.

She said proper use and safety of such facilities would ensure speedy development of their communities and improvement in their life-styles.

She commended DFID for its efforts in assisting the state in its health delivery services and pledged to ensure that the facilities were properly put to use.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Uche Uzochukwu, said his office would ensure that benefiting communities adequately provide protection for the health facilities.

Uzochukwu said government would continue to work with the Partnership for Transforming Health System (PATHS) 11 in its bid to deliver quality healthcare to the people.

The Head of DFID, Mr Richard Montgomery, who was represented by a director, Mr Ebere Anyaiwu, said 287 health centres across the state had received drugs and equipment.

Montgomery said that with the flag off, 106 more health centres in the state would benefit from the drug donation.
