Akunyili Tasks Nigerian Kids On Rebranding

Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili, has tasked Nigerian children to play active role in the country’s rebranding campaign.

Akunyili made the appeal in Abuja recently when children who are members of rebranding club of selected schools in the country paid her a visit.

The minister said it was imperative for the children to always make the rebranding programme an integral part of their studies by constantly reminding themselves that Nigeria is a great nation with good people. She added that the children could also assist in changing the attitudes of their fellow student and even their parents if they imbibed the culture of discipline and moral uprightness. She advised those aspiring to be journalists to always bear in mind that they would grow up to be the custodian of the conscience of society; “we are begging you children to help us. We want you to make it a moral responsibility to always remind one another, that Nigeria is a great nation, blessed with good people. By this your fellow students who want to derail with retrace their steps.” She further advised them to take the rebranding club in schools seriously.
