Nzidee Berates Politicians Over Chieftaincy Conflict

The Gbenemene of Nyokhana Kingdom in the Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mene Z. P. Nzidee has blamed the increasing cases of chieftaincy tussle in the state on the activities of politicians.

Mene Nzidee, who said this in his palace at Sogho as part of his New Year message, said that politicians in the state should stop interfering in chieftaincy matters.

The royal father also stressed the need for the state government to act on the list submitted by traditional rulers on the recognition of more chiefs.

He commended the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his development strides in Ogoniland and the entire state, but called for more development projects in the state this year.

The Gbenemene also used the occasion to call on communities to live in peace as that was the only way development could come in the area.

Chiefs at the briefing includes, HRH Mene John N. B. Mina Mene Buako, RHR Mene Dr Fresh Deema, Mene Baa Beeri HRH Mene Lateh Lekia Mbaeder Mene Bua Lueku.
