Ajuru For Burial, Today

The remains of Nigeria’s former ambassador to Gabon, Chief Ignatius Ajuru, who was assassinated by unidentified gunmen recently will be laid to rest at his home town Isiokpo, Rivers State, today.

Ambassador Ajuru, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) former bigwig met his untimely death at Obehe, near Abia state’s major commercial city, Aba.

Ajuru’s assassination brings to two of such  killings of high flying Ikwerre politicians in Rivers State in quick succession whose killers have not been unravelled.

It is expected that Ajuru’s burial will be attended by top notchers of PDP, diplomats, academics, government functionaries and people of all walks of life.
