Teenage Prostitution: Hotelier Remanded In Prison

A hotelier and two accomplices accused of using teenagers for prostitution have been remanded in prison custody while the trial of their case is to commence on January 15, 2010.

According to the Suite No FHC/L/404C/09 filed by a legal officer, Kahinde Falade, from the Attorney-General of the Federation’s officer, it was alleged that Mash Williams, 50, of 26 Alhahi Odunjo Street, Iyaiye Alagbodo, on 15 August, 2009 operated a brothel under the name of Ruth Hotel which he uses for prostitution business.

Falade further stated that the accused hotelier and his accomplices, during the month of August this year at the Ruth Hotel allowed the following teenagers to trade in prostitution; Ariet Etim Effiong, 17 of Oron Village, Akwa Ibom State, Grace Solomon 14, of Otute Village in Orufongoroko Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Grace Solomon 14, Happiness Otisi Ibanwan, 17 of Oru Ebughu, Oron Village and Ekaette Bassey, 19 of Ibaka-Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
