The Eliogbolo community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area has warned against illegal collection of levies and marching grounds by youths.

The paramount ruler of the community HRH Eze G.N. Nwanwa said this during the inauguration and swearing in ceremony of the Eliogbolo Development Council.

Eze Nwanwa described the inauguration as another milestone in the history of the community, stressing that by the development, both the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Eliogbolo Urban Community have ceased to exist.

The paramount ruler stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to make the new system work.

The traditional ruler used the occasion to call on the new committee to put in place policies that will discourage youth restiveness, unite the community, defend the truth and promote peace and harmony among the people.

In his address, the secretary of the inauguration committee Comrade Anebom Wobidike urged the CDC to check lawlessness in the area while efforts should be made to complete the community Hall project.

Comrade Wobidike used the occasion to thank the state Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for the construction of a model primary school at Eliogbolo.

In his post inauguration speech, the chairman Eliogbolo Development Council (EDC) Mr. Ibeka N. Ibeka said that his administration will ensure constant light in the community, youth and empowerment amongst others.
