RMRDC Identifies Projects For Execution
The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, has identified about 100 product projects ready to be carried out before the end of the year, Director General of he Council, Prof. Peter Onwualu, has disclosed.
He spoke at the weekend at Kalabari Beach, Oguta, Imo State, during the commissioning of the product of 20 per cent cassava flour biscuits jointly carried out by the Val and Vine Food Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society, Oguta
He added that the products’ project had been submitted to the minister in charge of the ministry, Dr. Alhassan Bako Zaku, for his assent.
The director general disclosed that his council was ready to handle the research needs of the nation towards exportation of products manufactured in the country instead of constantly relying on the importation of products.
Onwualu said Nigeria, through his agency was seeking ways to make cassava yields like oil in the country, adding that there were many products so far identified which cassava could produce as end products
