OGSSIANS Holds Sendforth Party For Members

The Old Government Secondary School Students, Owerri, (OGSSIANS), an association of male students of the Federal university of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) who attended Secondary Schools in the Imo State capital, has held a sendforth party for its final year members.

The event which took place at Lobic Hotel, Owerri, had a large turnout.

All the final year students were introduced and hailed as they mounted the stage.

The President of the Association, Toochukwu Onyegbule, in 300 level Electrical engineering, drew applause with the warm welcome he gave which set the tone for the night.

Awards were presented to many of the graduating students who had excelled in various areas.

The event was rounded off with a dance session where students and guests unwound to the flows of various popular artistes.

Toochukwu could not hide his joy at what he term a successful outing.

I thank God for the grace to chair such a noble association and help send our elders forth in such a nice manner.

I urge fellow old boys and other FUTO students to identify with their various alma maters as you never know where you may need it in the future”, he said.
