The Administrator of Sacred Heart Cathedral Church, Ondo Diocese, Reverend Father Anthony Omotosho, has call on the federal and state governments to return primary and secondary schools to the Missions.

Speaking to newsmen on the activities for his 25th Anniversary as a Priest, Rev. Fr. Omotosho attributed the high rate of moral decadence in the society to the control of public schools by the federal and state governments.

He noted that moral values which existed in the schools before they were handed-over to the government are no longer in operation thereby leading to the increase in social vices in the society.

According to him, moral values have been washed away by the taking over of the schools by the government pointing out that in the olden days, when schools belonged to Missionaries, discipline was the order of the day.

“The only way we can bring moral back in public schools is to make sure that the schools are returned to their original owners most especially the Catholic Church”, he emphasised.

He urged Nigerians to shun money bag politicians whom he accused of robbing the nation of credible teachers.
