Amaechi Urges Omerelu People To Embrace Education
The River State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has charged the people of Omerelu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state to embrace education and eschew attitudes that should lead them to crimes.
The Governor gave the charge as Special Guest of Honour at the grand reception organised by Omerelu Community in honour of Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi, Hon. Commissioner for Lands and Survey, at Omerelu.
Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi noted that only education could guarantee personal development.
Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi promised to construct internal roads by 2011 based on availability of funds and therefore urged the people of Omerelu to perform their civic responsibilities by paying their taxes.
Earlier, the Omerelu Community in a welcome address expressed gratitude to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s government for deeming it fit to include one of their illustrious sons, Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi in the cabinet as a Commissioner twice in the present administration as well as including the Omerelu Community in the on-going government projects. They also thanked him for honouring their invitation for the civic reception of their son and pledged their support and loyalty to his administration.
The high point of the ceremony was the installation of the Hon. Commissioner, Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi wit h the chieftaincy title of IWHUE 1 of Omerelu by HRH Eze Sir (Dr) E.A.O. Omah (JP), Nye-New-Eli Omerelu/Apani.
