Amaechi Tasks Public Officers On Results …Swears In Perm Secs

Rivers State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has charged public Office holders to be result oriented to enable government achieve its objective of delivering quality service to the people.

Governor Amaechi gave the charge, Wednesday, while performing the swearing-in ceremony of four new permanent secretaries and inauguration of five members of the state Pensions Board at Government House, Port Harcourt, a statement from the Acting Press Secretary of the Governor, Blessing Wikina, said.

The Governor, who said their appointments were based on merit, noted that they were expected to produce results that would attest to their character.

He charged members of the Pensions Board to manage the board well and be able to pay those that are entitled because a lot of people’s lives depend on it for sustenance and congratulated all those sworn-in for their appointments.

Those sworn-in as Permanent Secretaries were Mr. Loveday Imeah, Clifford Ndu Walter, Mrs Stella Inyie Toby and Mr. Ikenna Sibeudu who hails from Anambra State. The Pensions Board has Mrs. Ednah Alikor as Chairman, while Messrs Daye Macs, Lebari Nwarra, Stephen Nwokungbe and Dr Ovunda Okene are members, the statement added.
