ACCC Kenya Nigerian Teams To Depart Dec 10

The four teams to represent Nigeria At the Africa Cup for club Champions (ACCC) billed to hold in Nairobi, Kenya from 12-20 December will depart the country on December 10.

Tidesports gathered that the Nigerian teams (Niger, Yobe, Imo and Bayelsa) would be in Nairobi two days to the championship, to enable them acclimatise before the championship proper.

A total of 13 clubs would participate in the championship that would last for nine days at Nairobi, capital of Kenya.

In the male category, the Nigerian Delta Force and Yobe Desert Stars would be competing with Rollers Sharkia club, Easter Club of Egypt, Kisumu Simba and Green Sharks of Kenya.

Also in the male categories are; Wanianchi club of Uganda and Moshi Khalsa club of Tanzania.

Heartland club of Imo State and Bayelsa United would battle it out with Telkom Wireless Club of Kenya, Sliders Club of Kenya and Whetherhead ladies Club of Uganda in the female categories.

Speaking in a telephone chat with Tidesports, a top national official who preferred anonymity said that the Nigerian teams were camped in their different states for proper preparation before the planned trip to Kenya on the 10th of December.

He expressed optimism that the Nigerian teams would do well in the competition, considering the level of preparation.
