PPA Hails Appeal Court’s Verdict On Uba

A progressive Peoples Alliance Chieftain, Chief Lisa Akerole has commended the verdict of the Appeal Court on Andy Uba an describing the nation’s judiciary as the stabnilizer of the country’s polity.
Reacting to the court of Appeal dismissal of Uba’s case in Enugu challenging the verdict of the Supreme Court, Akerele enlogised the judiciary for living above board.
He noted that Uba’s claim of being the governor in waiting of Anambra State, ws not only ridiculous and provocative, but also strange to the 1999 constitution.
In a statement issued by Unimke Nawh PPA Director of Media affairs Akereke held that Uba’s case had the capability of setting the judiciary against itself, but expressed joy that the justices of the Appeal Court came proved convincingly that they had the progress of the nation at heart above every other consideration.
He appealed to lawyers across the country to always consider the interest of the country above their personal gains in accepting cases, noting that they may not be able to enjoy the filthy lucre from these absurd cases should they tear the nation apart.
The PPA leader urged all democrats across the nation to join hands to ensure that the current drive for a democratic Nigeria reigns.
He further advised Uba to accept the verdict as the people’s decision and should seek other means of constructive engagement.
