A modern Access Control System to check the movement of members and non-members into Port Harcourt club main building has been commissioned.

The project, which was constructed by the present management committee of the club, was commissioned by the Deputy Managing Director of Total E and P, Port Harcourt, Engr Alek Musa.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, the DMD commended the management committee of the club headed by Mr Churchill Iti for their foresight in ensuring that movement into the club is restricted since it is a membership club, describing it as a welcomed development.

He stated his delight over the club’s judicious use of the assistance Total E&P rendered to it as part of its corporate social responsibility, and reiterated that the company would continue to ensure that they live up to expectation in their corporate social responsibility to host communities.

Musa said the company is proud to be part of this historic occasion which would raise the standard of the club higher,” and enjoined members to maintain the facility effectively.

Earlier, the president of the club, Mr Churchill Iti had thanked the management of Total E&P, Port Harcourt for their magnanimity and contributions towards improving the standard of the club, especially with the donation at N3.5m, which the management decided to use for the installation of the Access control system at the entrance of the main club house, saying it is first of its kind among clubs in the Niger Delta region and beyond.

Mr Iti said the system would help check infiltrators into the club and further called on members to be committed to the activities and growth of the club.
