Gov Makes Sudden Appearance After Reported Illness
Contrary to reports in some section of the media that he was hospitalised as a result of alleged food poisoning during a campaign in Isi-Uzor Local Government Area last Saturday, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State last Monday made a surprise appearance in Agbani, Nkanu West Council area, where he led party faithful in another political campaign.
The governor who appeared unruffled by the media reports was beaming with smiles as he cheered party members, informing them that the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state would have a clean sweep in the forthcoming local government election in the state billed to come up on December 5.
Clad in his characteristic traditional attire, the governor looked even more healthier than he appeared during his last pushie appearance last Saturday.
Governor Chime told party members that his government would continue to apply the consensus principle in determining issues regarding the socio-economic and political welfare of the people, saying that the approach has proven very successful so far and therefore cannot be compromised.
The Governor who was speaking yesterday at a Mammoth rally at Agbani, where he presented the candidates of the PDP for the December 5 local government elections for Nkanu West local government area, Mr Ekenne Okenwa said the state government would continues to consult with stakeholders before taking major decisions that would affect any section of the state.
