Court Adjourns Ibori’s Case To Nov. 23
The Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State capital on Friday adjourned ruling on the case against former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori to November 23. The Presiding Judge, Justice Marcel Awokolehim, while addressing the court said he has official engagements to tackle. According to him, he plans to attend a valedictory court session in honour of some retired court judges, seminars including grappling with recent unresolved sensitive issues. He also told the court that the ruling on the matter before him was ready but for the engagement.
James Ibori and his numerous supporters were present in court. Speaking shortly after the adjournment, council to James Ibori, Barr Pat Mozea said the ruling could have been delivered since it was ready. “It is in our interest for the ruling to be delivered on time to let us know the valid charges and face them or go home,” he said.
