Addressing party supporters and stakeholders at the headquarters of Nkanu West Local Government Council, Agbani, Governor Chime, thanked the people for their support to his government and the party, which he described as total and very encouraging.

Also at Enugu South council area, Governor Chime praised the outgoing chairman,

The governor equally thanked the people for their support to his administration and PDP so far and appealed to them to translate the support into action during the forthcoming December 5 local government elections in the state.

He, therefore , used the occasion to assure the people of the state that the PDP government in Enugu State would not disappoint them but will continue to do its best to meet the expectations of the electorate and the people of the state.

Also in his speech, the state chairman of the party, Chief Vita Abba, told the people that the current PDP in Enugu State believed in genuine election devoid of any manipulation or thuggry.

Chief Abba therefore called on the peoples of Enugu South and Nkanu West to come out en-masse and show their support by casting their votes to the party that cares for their welfare.

The chairman told the people that the PDP umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody and welcomed all those who decamped from other parties to join PDP at the rallies.

He told the people that all the PDP candidates for the election were tested and trusted people who were ready to carry everybody along and also give their best to the people.

The two members representing Nkanu East and West and Enugu North and South federal constituencies at the House of Representatives, Princess Peace Nnaji and Prince Ofor Chukwuegbo, respectively, in their separate speeches thanked the governor for his good work in the state especially in the areas of infrastructural development, road construction and environmental sanitation, saying it has transformed the state capital.

Princess Nnaji and Prince Chukwuegbo described their chairmanship candidates Messrs Ekene Okenwa and Nwabueze Okafor as those who can deliver and appealed to their people to give them their total support by voting them into office come December 5 this year.

They, therefore, charged the chairmanship flag-bearers to see the entire council areas as their constituencies and to see the need to consult with elders and stakeholders and carry everybody along in the scheme of things.

At Nkanu West Council areas, solidarity messages came from the state secretary of the party, Engr. Dons Ude, Mr. Nana Ogbodo, Chief Onyemuchi Nnamani, Mr. Ude Okoh, Chief Mike Onu and Igwe Gabriel Nnaji, among others.

They used the occasion to draw his attention to some of their problems including poor road network, especially the collapsing Amodu bridge and lack of water supply and appealed to him to come to their aid.
