Stephannie Okereke’s Through The Glass Nets N10m …Gets mega contract in Rivers?

If the story reaching us is any thing to go by, Top actress and producer Stephanie Okereke’s debut movie titled ‘through the glass ‘ has grossed over N10 million in three weeks. It was gathered that despite being released in Nigeria on September 16, 2009 along side ‘public enemies’ and ‘Hangover, Through The Glass came out as the best.

There is the general believe that the movie is Stephanie’s way of rebranding Nigeria as the movie portrays a situation where a Nigerian girl educated a foreigner on the variety of the cultures of the country. The screen diva used the movie to project positive images of Nigeria. According to Silver bird source, “No Nigerian movie had ever hit the mark that the film has made”.

It was also gathered that the movie has been scheduled to premiere at the Silver bird cinemas in Ghana in November 2009 before moving over to Silver bird Cinemas in Kenya.

Meanwhile, the star actress is said to have won a mega contract from the Rivers State government. The Imo State born graduate of English language from University of Calabar has been engaged by the state government to further train promising actors and actresses from those that trained in arts and entertainment in Rivers State social Development Institute (SDI), a rehabilitation camp for repentant militants and cultists who have denounced their evil deeds in the past.

The screen goddess and ex-beauty queen who has featured in countless movies has done well for herself with so many merit awards both locally and internationally to show for it.
