The commissioner who sealed the filling station yesterday also ordered the arrest of four of its officers seen at the premises.
Meanwhile, normal loading of petroleum products had resumed at the Port Harcourt Refinery Depot following the suspension of the four days strike by the refinery branch of the Petroleum Tankers Drivers (PTD) and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
The suspension of the strike followed the intervention of the Rivers State Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Dr Dawari George, in the matter.
At separate meetings earlier in the day, the two unions had said that their decision to embark on strike was to press home their demands for removal of the refinery depot manager and the sales officers over marginalization.
Later at a press briefing at the end of a joint meeting between officers of the two unions and the depot manager, the commissioner, Dr Geroge said that the two unions have decided to call off the strike immediately.
He also said that the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company of Nigeria (PPMC) has agreed to increase the products for Port Harcourt.
The commissioner who said that both parties have also agreed to enter into dialogue with a view to finding amicable resolution of the crisis, added that at the instance of the government , the parties have agreed to meet next week with him.
