Odiah returns for Kenya

CSKA Moscow fullback Chidi Odiah is set to return to the Super Eagles squad when Nigeria coach Shuaibu Amodu names his squad for the final 2010 World Cup qualifying match against Kenya in Nairobi next month.
Amodu left for Egypt at the weekend to attend a CAF Instructors’ Seminar in Cairo, but not before submitting his squad list to the NFF. A list which Tidesports source has been made to understand includes the former Eagle Cement man.
Despite winning two man of the match awards in the first round of qualifiers, Odiah has not featured for the Super Eagles at all in the second round, with his last appearance being the 0-0 friendly draw against Jamaica in February.
His place at right back was initially filled by Adefemi Olubayo, but the Boulougne defender was dropped for the last game against Mozambique in favour of FC Sion’s Yusuf Mohammed, who picked up an injury within the opening 10 minutes of the game.
Although Yusuf has been cleared to return to action by the end of the month, we understand that Amodu is taking no chances and appears ready to hand a long overdue recall to Odiah.
