Obomanu Donates Trophies to Darts Championship

A sports philanthropist and former captain Port Harcourt Club, Ladies Golf sub-section, Mrs Judith Assisi-Obomanu has donated four trophies to the National Darts Championship under the auspices of the Port Harcourt Club.
Mrs Obomanu said after the championship that it was part of her efforts towards promoting the game of darts.
According to her, she had interest in ensuring the growth of the sports pointing out that as a sports lover, she would continue to contribute to sports development.
She noted that investment in sports is a wise decision as it helps to keep people mentally alert and physically fit.
Mrs Obomanu, who was also a former sports secretary of Port Harcourt club side said she had interest in bringing up children through sports and creative activities stressing that her interest in sports development and growth in the state cannot be over-emphasized.
The former ladies golf captain, who is an all round sports woman however called on the government, corporate organizations and spirited individuals to always give attention to sports development, so that the youths would be engaged meaningfully during and after their education.
