NAHCO, Set To Handle Lufthansa Operations In PH

As Lufthansa Airline, resumed its operations at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, the handliers of the ground services, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc said they are prepared for the operations.
Biodun Adewoni, the station Manager NAHCO Port Harcourt who stated this in an interview with The Tide last Friday at the NAHCO Cargo complex Port Harcourt Airport revealed that because of the resumption, NAHCO has engaged additional manpower and have brought in new equipment to Port Harcourt.
Adewuni further revealed to The Tide that due to the importance affected to the operations in Port Harcourt, Luthansa Airline sent some NAHCO passenger Unit staff to Lagos for training, adding that NAHCOL is fully prepared for the operations.
According to him, “NAHCO is bringing in additional high loader, more dollies to accommodate them, while tractor will come later because the one we have now is alright for the operations.”
The station manager assured that the load of handling the two forign airlines, Luthansa and Air France would not be too much for the Aviation ground services company, adding that, Luthansa is a client share holder of NAHCO while Air France has 5 per cent equity share in the company.
He further assured that they would do all they own to ensure smooth operations of the two foreign airlines operating at Port Harcourt airport.
Adewuwi however said NAHCO has constituted committee for the forth coming pilgrims nation wide, stressing that the committee involves senior management of NAHCO who are currently on tour. “I have not serving brief but was mass to understand that the operations of the pilgrims will be handled between Skey power Aviation Handling Company SAHCOL and NAHCO. I am expecting the committee in Port Harcourt this week.”
