…Faces NUJ Platform ‘Morrow
Governor Rotimi Amaechi, will tomorrow face a panel of senior journalists and media executives as part of plans to render account of his stewardship to Rivers people.
The programme which would be broadcast live on national television is to be moderated by the Editor and Chairman of The Tide Editorial Board, Mr. Soye Wilson Jamabo, while the General Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Mr. Celestine Ogolo, his counterpart at the SilverBird Radio, Rhythm 93.7, Mr. Samson Fiberesima, Port Harcourt City Editor of the Punch Newspaper, Mr. Ibang Isine and Chairman of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) are members of the interview panel.
The event which is the maiden edition of the “Platform”, an initiative of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) promises to be analytical, educative and informative and seeks to making political and public office holders responsible to the people.
Secretary of the NUJ Platform Planning Committee, Mr. Segun Owolabi, in a statement in Port Harcourt said the media event which is scheduled for the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Moscow Road will have in attendance representatives of all media houses in the state.
