No Crisis, Threat Of Strike In Rivers Angels
Contrary to a recent report that players of Rivers Angels FC, Port Harcourt were threatening to embark on strike over unpaid backlog of salaries and boycott the forthcoming women’s football league season, all appears to be well with the Rivers State sponsored clubside.
According to the club’s coach, Mr Whyte Ogbonda, the story of crisis and threat of strike was the product of the writer’s imagination as the club was not being owed backlog of entitlements.
He said that when they were owed, the process of getting paid is as simple as just applying for their dues and they are paid promptly.
The club according to him is preparing for the new season and targeting to recruit new players that can lead it to success in the league and federation cup competitions.
