Minister Tasks Abakaliki FMC On Health Delivery

The Minister of Health, Professor Babatunde Osotimehin has declared that the Federal Government would improve the services of the Federal Medical Centre, (FMC), Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to make it collaborate with the various health facilities in the state.

Prof. Osotimehin who made the declaration Friday in Abakaliki when he paid a courtesy visit on the State Governor, Martin Elechi, said that the measure would help address the healthcare service needs of the people.

The minister was in the state to declare open the 5th Batch of Visco Vaginal Fistula (VVF) repair campaign at the South East VVF Centre in the state capital.

Ositimehin said that the service of medical experts at the FMC Abakaliki  would now be enjoyed by all the health institutions in the state.

This he explained would enable the state government its health needs and attain overall health requirements of the Millennium Development Governments he said.
