EFCC Declares Cecilia Ibru, Akinbola Wanted
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared the sacked Chief executive officer of Oceanic Bank Cecilia Ibru wanted.
Also declared wanted by the EFCC is the sacked chief executive officer of the Intercontinental Ban, Eramus Akinbola.
Cecilia Ibru and Erasmus Akinbola are declared wanted in connection with the alleged breach of credit processes in the trading in capital market deliberations and money laundering, running into billions of naira.
The EFCC chairman, Farida Waziri has declared that the bankers are wanted because of their failure to report for questioning, as directed by the agency.
The spokesman of the agency Femi Baba Femi said that there has been intensive man-hurt for both bankers in the past one week without any result.
The anti-graft agency has also warned that any body that habours Ceclila Ibru and Erasmus Akinbola would be treated as an accomplice to the crime.
EFCC has also in the meantime stressed that the ultimatum for the supervision of the five commercial banks by the central bank still stands.
The spokesperson of the commission, Femi Baba Femi has stated that the agency would swing into action to arrest those that failed to pay up their debts as soon as the deadline expires tomorrow.
