Assembly Sacks Bauchi Dep Gov
The Bauchi State  House of Assembly has impeached the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Garba Gadi.
The Deputy Governor was impeached by the House following the adoption of a report of a seven man panel that found him guilty of gross misconduct.
The majority leader of the House, Alhaji Bayel Ciroma presented the panel report on the floor of the House.
The panel found the deputy governor guilty of collecting double estacodes on  a single foreign trip for the 2008 hajj.
He was also found to have granted cash approval to himself to the tune of over two million naira which was not accounted for.
Alhaji Gadi was removed by 25 votes out of 31 from members of the Assembly.
Meanwhile, reports say the impeachment was carried out in the absence of the Deputy Governor who was said to be out of the state.
The deputy governor who did not express any surprise said he had expected such move before now but that he was not worried.
According to him, his next line of action would be determined after due consultation with his lawyers
