Chief Coach of the Super Eagles, Shuaibu Amodu has stated that his focus now is how to beat Tunisia on Septebmer 6, in the crucial second leg qualifier for the 2010 World Cup against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Abuja.

Amodu, who made the statement in an interview monitored in Port Harcourt, noted that the encounter against the Tunisians will be tough and as such would not be approached with laxity. Thus, he has decided to use players who are in good form to prosecute the game.

“Sincerely, the task ahead of the Eagles is not a one man who but needs the collective efforts of every Nigerian. This is a match that must be won to see Nigeria’s chances of hoisting her flag in South Africa come 2010 remain on track,” Amodu remarked.

He however enjoined Nigerians to join hands to see that the Super Eagles get the desired support so as to over power the visiting Tunisian side.

“There is no gainsaying the fact that all hands must be on deck to see the Eagles qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa”, he added.

It would be recalled that the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia are presently occupying the driver’s seat in the Group B log with seven points as against the Super Eagles’ five.
