Kidnappers who abducted Godwin Okeke, a transport magnate based in Onitsha, Anambra, are demonding N500 million ransom for his release.

A reliable family source, who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen on Monday in Onitsha, that the family had established contact with the abductors of Okeke, the Chairman of the G.U.O. Group of Companies.

“We have established links with the kidnappers and they are insisting on N500 million ransom.

“We have been making overtures to the kidnappers to bring down the ransom but they have remained adamant. “The family and friends have been running around to raise the money,” they said.
