There’s No Jinx, We Performed Poorly Federation Cup Fallout –Ezeji
Sharks FC striker, Victor Ezeji has said that the players disappointed their fans in their 1-0 loss to Enyimba on Sunday in the Federation Cup Final.
Sharks were hoping to break a 37-year trophy less streak, but capitulated to a slightly superior Enyimba team and Ezeji said the players didnot do enough.
“We were disappointing,” Ezeji admitted “We could have done much better, but that is football.
“I just want to apologise to the fans because they travelled all the way from Port Harcourt to see us give them a trophy and we disappointed them.”
Ezeji promised however, that Sharks would be back and dismissed any purported jinx.
“We have shown that we have quality in our team and we can do even better next season.
“I don’t believe there is any jinx. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing like that. We just didn’t do enough to win. Hopefully, next time we will get it right,” he said.
