Nigerian Player Rejects ‘ Slave’ Contract In Denmark
Jude Nworuh and his advisors have rejected the offer of a new contract from Danish club FC Midtjylland.
The Nigerian junior international’s current deal ran out in May and was offered a new five-year contract with the club, but his advisor Adedapo Kujore-Olowu said that the ‘cheap’ offer was rejected outright.
“We have rejected the contract offer from FC Midtjylland for Jude Nworuh. It’s a slave contract for a player of Jude’s stature,” he says. “We wanted three years, they wanted five years. The wages and bonuses they offered are for a player signing his first professional contract. It’s a cheap and unacceptable offer.”
Kujore-Olowu, who also represents Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins, said the Flying Eagles striker was not short of offers
“Offers are coming from Copenhagen, Brondby and from Spain and France. We’ll evaluate the situation at the right time.”
